  Autism does not change or worsen with age. Autism isn't like a new pair of sneakers that has to be broken in, since no matter what you've read, the idea that you'll wake up one day no longer autistic is, was, or ever will be accurate. It's fair to say that things get a little hard for people of our culture regarding children's early years. Early research has revealed that after the age of eighteen months (and in some cases even later), an infant's milestones may decrease, or communication ability may decline, valid for 77 percent of autistic children. I want to add that, regardless of where you were born or where you lie on the spectrum, autism improves through time. For the most part, general autism knowledge and recognition appear to be increasing, improving all aspects of autistic existence.
