Everyone Should Know About The Tomatis® Method!

The Tomatis® Method, invented by Dr Alfred Tomatis, a French ENT specialist, is a sound and listening therapy that supports and improves the lives of children and adults having various auditory processing issues.

Dr Tomatis revealed that the ears are essential for a variety of tasks other than hearing, including:

- Stress and anxiety - Balance - Vocalisation - Coordination - Emotion regulation - Speech - Language - Reading - Learning - Motor skills - Memory - Attention
As a result, he devised a non-invasive auditory therapy technique to stimulate and improve the function of the ears, which in many cases resulted in improvements in these linked functions. Electronically manipulated music and speech are played at specific frequencies to stimulate certain ear portions using specialised auditory equipment known as the Electronic Ear®. The relevant areas in the brain and nervous system respond to the stimulation in the same way that these areas do. As a result, auditory, visual, and motor functions that had not previously received the proper stimulation level and messages from the brain may improve. The Tomatis Method usually consists of 2-3 x 15-day periods separated by a 4-6-week rest. However, this varies based on the patient's response and the type of the ailment. Significant improvement can be seen in less than a week in some instances.
